Krank

You know the saying, "When it rains, it pours?"  Well that is about my immune system.

I got sick last week no big deal, then last night I felt a burning in my loins.  Turns out it was my loins burning.  I woke up at 3:30 this morning with the worst groin pains of my life.  3 hours later of having to constantly pee, not being able to, and lots of WebMD my host mom woke up and I told her the bad news.  Ich habe eine Blasenentzündung.  I have a bladder infection.  So we got me lots of water and hot packs to ease the pain till 8 when the doctors offices opened.
The cool thing that came out of this horrendously painful situation is I got to experience German doctors offices.  Wow is it cool.  It's very similar to the States, but better in every way. The patients in the waiting room great and say goodbye to each other.  It's like they all realize, "We're sick and shitty, so let's be happy and sick and shitty together." Though unfortunately your time in the waiting room with your fellow suffers is short because German doctors are speedy.  They get you in and out while still making you feel taken care of and not rushed. They are also terribly helpful.  I went to the doctor for a bladder infection, but he had no problem helping me out with the weird rash slowly taking over my chest.  That's what I call care.
Maybe I'll have to get sick more often.  Just kidding, I never want to get sick again.

On a side note.  Is it a good sign my nail polish matches my antibiotics?  I think so...
